another thing...

I added another component to this blog- a discussion about going without meat (except seafood) for an entire year. I touched upon this in my first post, but I decided that I wanted to talk about it, especially since I have been having some weird dreams...

In order to kick off my year without meat, my mom made Kalbi Jjim, my favorite Korean red meat dish, as my one last meat dish (I'm drooling just a little thinking about it). I have not given in yet, but I have been having some "guilty" dreams. One of my dreams a few weeks back made me laugh when I woke up. I was out at a restaurant looking at the menu. I told the waiter I could not eat chicken, but the next thing I knew, I was cutting into a piece of chicken, eating it up, and then yelling that I wasn't supposed to be eating it! Ok, it was much more interesting in my dream...

Last week though, I had a dream about a Chili Dog. One of my guilty pleasure foods has always been hot dogs. I know, sausages are pretty gross, but I can't help but liking them. I can say that I prefer hot dogs over hamburgers. The Chili Dog looked amazing and I took a nice big bite out of it... yummy.

Have I been tempted to eat meat? OF COURSE! Good think I love fish over meat...but when you know you can't have something, it makes you desire it more. In my case... Chinese goods and Meat are calling my name.

  1. If you're into hot dogs... if you ever visit Seattle.. you HAVE to eat a Seattle Dog. It's so legit. Guarantee top 2 or 3.

  2. do you plan to do this for just one year... or like are you making a lifestyle change decision?

I love meat. I think I could go without it, but I don't want to. :)
